Jeanne Cook is the Director of Forest Legality at Climate Advisers where she leads the strategic litigation work.
Prior to joining Climate Advisers, Jeanne was a Program Officer at the Anti-Corruption & Governance Center at the Center for International Private Enterprise, where she worked with a variety of global transparency and integrity initiatives ranging from the Gambia to Peru. Much of her work at the Center focused on the intersection of corruption, labor and the environment including developing risk-based programs supporting ethical behavior.
Jeanne has also worked as an investigative attorney for FCPA compliance with Fortune 500 companies, as an educator, and as a human rights attorney at the Carter Center in Atlanta. She holds a JD from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles; a MA in Latin American Studies and Regional Development Planning from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a BA from the School of International Service at the American University.
